ZPG Series Disc Vacuum Filter

Disc vacuum filter is a solid-liquid separation equipment. The filter disc is driven by a speed regulator through a reducer and an open gear transmission. It is made to rotate at a certain speed in a body filled with slurry. When a filter fan of the filter disc is in the filter adsorption area, a pressure difference is formed on both sides of the filter medium with the help of a vacuum pump. The solid material is adsorbed on the filter medium (filter cloth) and forms a filter cake, while the filtrate is discharged through the filtrate pipe and the distribution head. When this filter fan is separated from the slurry level and enters the dehydration area, the filter cake is dried. After entering the unloading area, the filter cake is unloaded from the filter disc with backblowing and a scraper, falls into the discharge trough, and is transported away by the ore collection belt conveyor. The entire operation process is carried out continuously.

Working Principle of Disc Vacuum Filter

The filter discs are partially immersed in the slurry tank filled with mineral slurry. Driven by the main shaft, the filter discs rotate slowly. 
Negative pressure vacuum is supplied through the distribution head to the inner cavity of each filter sector. Under vacuum suction, liquid in slurry penetrates the filter cloth and flows into filtrate pipeline, forming solid filter cake on the surface of filter cloth.
As the disc rotates out of the slurry liquid level, the filter cake enters the drying area. Vacuum continues to extract residual moisture for dehydration. 
When the filter disc rotates to the discharge zone, the vacuum is cut off, and compressed air blows backward to loosen filter cake. The scraper then scrapes off the dry filter cake for discharge. 
After cake removal, clean water sprays to wash filter cloth, restoring its filtering performance for the next circulation.
